Overview

The 2017 Mazda CX 3 makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact SUV class. With 3 trims on offer, the Mazda CX 3 has a base MSRP of 20,110, with prices going all the way up to MSRP 26,415, competing directly with the Chevrolet Trax, the Fiat 500X, and the Buick Encore. Only a 2.0 Inline-4 engine engine is offered, mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 146 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 8.5 seconds, the CX 3 maintains a combined fuel economy of 31 MPG. Mazda offers the CX-3 in 8 stunning colors, with the Soul Red being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

The base trim is quite basic, while the mid level comes equipped with all the necessary features but if you want more convenience and safety, the top trim ups the ante by offering automatic wipers, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlight control, lane departure warning, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic braking.
