Overview

The 2011 Ford Flex is a midsize wagon offered in 4 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $29,355. For that price, it mainly competes with the Mazda CX-9, the GMC Acadia, and the Chevrolet Traverse. Between 4 trims, the Flex offers 2 powertrains. The base engine is a 3.5L V6 engine capable of making 262 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 355 horsepower-making 3.5L turbocharged V6 engine. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Flex reaches 60 mph from zero in 8.8 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 6.6 seconds with the 3.5L turbocharged V6 engine. Depending on the powertrain, the Flex can manage a combined fuel economy between 18 and 19 mpg. While we’re on the topic of choices, the 4 striking colors the Flex comes in really pull you towards itself.

Buying Advice

Taking the features offered for the money into consideration, the mid-level SEL trim adds quite a lot more features than the other trims making it the most value for the money trim here. Some prominent features in the SEL trim are dual-zone automatic climate control, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, the Sync electronics interface system, driver power lumbar adjustment, a six-way power passenger seat, and a wood interior trim.

              Very bad used car!

Pros - ["Love the size!", "Love the color!"]

Cons - ["Hate the gas milage!", "Absolutely do not like the radio!"]

It would be a really great car if I didnt get ripped off from the seller! Charged me $2100 and I have a lot wrong with it the Caytilac converter to start with and one of the back seat belts dont work and the whole inside was left dirty smelled like nasty old cigarettes and rust on it was not worth what he was charging for it and half the stuff that was wrong with it he did not even tell me about ...
