Overview

The 2012 Ferrari California Convertible makes for an excellent contender in the midsize convertible segment. With three trims on offer, the 2012 Ferrari California Convertible has a base MSRP of $17,380, competing directly with the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder LP-560, the Audi R8 Spyder, and the Aston Martin DB9 Volante. Only a 4.3L V8 engine is offered, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. Together, they produce 453 horsepower and 357 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 4 seconds, the Ferrari California Convertible maintains a combined fuel economy of 15 MPG. Ferrari offers the California Convertible in more than 52 stunning colors, with the Rosso Scuderia being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

As with all supercars, Ferraris can be customized to your liking. The standard package lacks many essential safety and driver assistance features. Therefore, we recommend that you invest in features like adaptive headlights, adaptive suspension dampers, front parking sensors, a rear view camera, cruise control, and auto-dimming mirrors.
