2024 Cadillac Celestiq Electric

There is only a single trim offered by Cadillac for the 2024 Celestiq. Although Cadillac has not disclosed pricing for its new flagship car, the firm has stated that it would cost more than $300,000. Customization options will undoubtedly raise prices even further. The standard features included are GM's Ultium EV platform, Dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, Four-wheel steering, Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, Active Roll Control, Active rear spoiler, An 8.0-inch rear seat touchscreen control panel, DC fast charging at 200-kW rate, Ultra Cruise hands-free driving, A total of 55 inches of screens under a glass display (instrument cluster, central infotainment, and a front passenger display), and an 11.0-inch touchscreen control panel on the center console. 

As per the brand, the Celestiq would come with quite a few optional packages and standalone features. However, the details of this are yet to be known.

As the 2024 Celestiq is available with a single trim, there is no other option. However, in our opinion, it won’t disappoint you in any aspect, especially when spending this amount of money. The new standard features such as Active Roll Control, Active rear spoiler, 8.0-inch rear seat touchscreen control panel, DC fast charging at 200-kW rate, etc, are what make it an attractive choice.

Release Date

Cadillac claims that production of the Celestiq will begin in late 2023. 

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is powered by two electric motors coupled to an AWD system. GM claims 600 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mph pace of fewer than four seconds. Despite riding on the new brand’s flexible Ultium Platform, the Celestiq has significant changes due to its size. The Celestiq has a front gear ratio of 11.59:1 and a rear gear ratio of 11.63:1. These have been specially adjusted to improve the car's performance and range.

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is going to be more expensive than the Lucid Air Sapphire. All three rivals come with a standard AWD and a dual motor setup to power the car. The power output of the 2024 Celestiq is more than the Rolls Royce Spectre. However, it is exactly half when compared to the Lucid Air Sapphire. The torque delivery of the Spectre is better than the new Celestiq.

2024 Cadillac Celestiq Ride and Handling

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq incorporates adaptive air suspension, active rear steering, and Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 for improved low-speed maneuverability. The latter was created for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and is known to be the world's fastest suspension technology. Furthermore, the sophisticated AWD system of the car can turn on and off the front or rear electric motors based on torque requirements or preserve energy where possible. The brand frequently uses the phrase "isolated precision" to characterize the five-link front and rear suspension's ability to remove cabin disturbances while yet providing an adequate level of feel and handling reaction to the driver. When the 111-kilowatt-hour battery in the Celestiq is fully charged, GM estimates a range of 300 miles. EPA ratings for range and MPGe are yet to be officially released. Nonetheless, it's safe to assume that anyone who can afford the Celestiq has the space to charge it at home in a climate-controlled garage. Moreover, due to the lack of stacked batteries, the 2024 Celestiq's 400V architecture makes it compatible with the majority of fast-charging ports out there. The fuel economy data for all three cars are not yet available. We have to wait for the official EPA ratings to make an unbiased comparison. 

The Cadillac Celestiq seats just four in excessive comfort; a thick rear center console that acts as an armrest and holds fold-out tables provides a fantastic place from which to watch the world go by, and the low, flat floor frees up lots of space whether you're in the first or second row. The idea of space and roominess is a continuous theme throughout, with the cockpit feeling exceptionally uncluttered and even a little spartan, barring the acres of real estate taken up by screens. 

All the rivals can seat four passengers. Neither of the rivals compromises on space and quality of the material. However, the 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire is a performance-based vehicle that remains surely short of the luxury of the Spectre and the Celestiq. Also, the Spectre feels a bit more luxurious than the Celestiq, thanks to the brand’s expert designers.

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is a mix of a performance vehicle and a luxury car, whereas the Lucid Air Sapphire’s primary task is to perform over the asphalt. Thereby, one might not might the Air Sapphire to be as premium as the new 2024 Celestiq. Furthermore, the tech features of the Celestiq are unmatched when compared to that of the Air Sapphire. In our opinion, the price difference between the two is justifiable when you evaluate the car from the inside out.

2024 Cadillac Celestiq vs 2024 Rolls Royce Spectre

It is difficult to pick the best out of the two in terms of luxury. Both cars come with exciting features and make sure that creature comfort of the occupants remains on point. Furthermore, the performance figures are not that different, but Celestiq has a slight advantage due to its aerodynamic design. The road presence of the Celestiq is commanding and hints towards its sportiness, while the Spectre dictates its class outrightly.

The 2023 Cadillac Celestiq is a sporty car with an unusual price tag. It offers a decent range of travel with its electric powertrain with nimble handling capabilities. The car offers a premium interior with superior upholstery over the seats. The interiors are loaded with features like automatic climate control, ambient lighting, etc. Moreover, the exterior looks sporty and aggressive with its slim LED lights and its sleek contours establishing its image as a perfect sportscar with hints of luxury. The brand ensures the safety of drivers and passengers through a number of protective features. The only trim available is the sole choice that the buyers can go with. However, the brand’s commitment to delivering several customizable packages is worth waiting for.
