Overview
The 2010 BMW 1 Series Coupe is an entry-level luxury sports coupe offered in 2 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $29,150. For that price, it mainly competes with the Audi TT Coupe, the Infiniti G37 Coupe, and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. Between 2 trims, the BMW 1 Series offers two different powertrains. The base engine is a 3.0L inline-6 engine capable of making 230 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 326 horsepower-making 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engine. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed Automatic. The BMW 1 Series reaches 60 mph from zero in 6.3 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 5 seconds with the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. Depending on the powertrain, the BMW 1 Series Coupe can manage a combined fuel economy of between 20 and 22 MPG. While we're on the topic of choices, the 12 striking colors the BMW 1 Series comes in really pull you towards itself.
