Overview

Cars like the 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid SUV might not be able to give you the direct benefits one might expect from its hybrid powertrain. However, its use must not be overlooked. The Escape Hybrid uses its 2.5L Inline-4 engine, a single-motor hybrid system, and a 330V nickel-metal-hydride battery to produce 177 horsepower. This gives the Escape Hybrid a 0-60 of 9.8 seconds. The hybrid engine here is to support the gasoline engine to boost performance and offer slightly better fuel economy than what a single gasoline engine would be capable of. That said, the Escape Hybrid achieves a combined fuel economy of 32 MPG. As part of the compact SUV class, the Escape Hybrid doesn’t have direct rivals. Meanwhile, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid is an indirect rival from the midsize SUV segment. It offers 2 trims, starting off at an MSRP of $30,570.

Buying Advice

As there is only one trim to choose from, we recommend making sure you get all the optional features, like a rear spoiler, fog lamps, illuminated door sills, interior ambient lighting, leather-wrapped shift knobs, satellite radio, and many others.

              Our First Escape

Pros - ["the comfort of the seats", "the luxury of the interior"]

              Cons - ["Reliability", "Gas mileage"]

our escape performance is very good. We have had to put some money in it for maintenance. we get fair gas mileage and it does not use oil. it has child safety windows in the back seats and enough room to put our wheelchairs in. This is the best car we ever bought.I recommend this car to any physically disabled couple

Stay away this is a piece of junk

Pros - ["The AC is great", "Nothing else good about it"]

Cons - ["Everything else is poorly designed and broken", "It is cheaply made with inferior parts."]

This car has no cool features. It is ugly. No power. Several recalled repairs. Door actuator replaced twice. Fuel distribution system replaced. Ignition replaced. REar window shocks broken. Brake lines failure. Very bumpy ride.
