The 2024 Giulia Sprint gets almost everything under $45 grand. Every trim is powered by the same engine, making the same output, with a few tweaks on the upper trims. But overlooking that fact, Sprint is the best buy among all. It offers a multiple-way power-adjustable heated ventilated front row with power lumbar support, a heated steering wheel, Brembo brakes, a good music system, a considerably functional touchscreen with navigation, and many more features, which we normally don’t expect from the base model. However, if you want more, getting the Competizione is a good choice. It’s the race-inspired performance edition of Veloce that itself is quite a performance freak, coming with a limited-slip differential. The Competizione is more fun to drive Giulia, even better than the Veloce, and offers lots of luxury features in and out.

The braking performance of the Audi A4 and the Mercedes Benz C-Class is quite dissatisfactory. The Giulia is lightest among all, which is a plus point for the same, while the C-Class is heaviest, but considering its genre and weight, the automaker should equip it with bigger and better brakes to avoid any mishappenings.

While expecting good fuel economy from a performance sedan is an idiotic thought, the 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia packs a performance-focused yet fuel-efficient engine under the hood, making it a good daily driver. The 2L turbo feels great to drive, with no lag at all, but quite similar to the Ford’s Ecoboost that we find in the base Mustang, the Giulia too returns a good fuel economy. Coming with a 15.3-gallon fuel tank, the 2024 Giulia can cruise for 33 miles per gallon, while in combined driving, can run for 27 miles, giving a range of 504.9 miles at most. In city driving, you can expect to run for around 367 miles at one go and can cover 413 miles in mixed driving.

Similar to the Giulia, the 2024 Audi A4 too, shares almost the same number, cruising on the highway for 504.9 miles, but this time, you will get a better figure in mixed driving, around 428 miles, due to the same sized fuel tank, and almost the same mpg rating. If the mpg rating is considered, then the C-Class and the 3-Series top the list, with a similar number in city, highway, and combined, but as a smaller tank is associated with the C-Class, BMW takes the place of the most efficient.

Any sedan that is priced over $40,000 has to have a luxurious interior with proper comfy seats, and the 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia is no different. The interior is no doubt, quite opulent, with lots of amenities for our convenience. Capable of seating up to 5 people, the 2024 Giulia is quite comfortable inside, with cushioned seats, which are multiple-way power adjustable with power lumbar support, and come with heated ventilated functionalities. However, only the front row can be ventilated, and on upper trims, heated rear seats are available. The front row is quite spacious, but when it comes to the 2nd row, it’s cramped, in the true sense. Either make 2 people sit there or include a kid with 2 adults. If all three are adults on the 2nd row, none of them would sit comfortably. It’s that much cramp. For a comfortable experience, dual-zone climate control is there including AC, and multiple storage bins are there, especially for the front row people. The seats are leather-wrapped, and so is the shift knob, and for a premium-ness, the black headliner is embroidered. For a more enjoyable experience, a sport-leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, and 2 cupholders have also been equipped.

On the first row, the 2024 Giulia can be conferred as the clear winner, mostly due to the exceptional legroom, headroom, and moderate shoulder room. As only 2 people sit there, and the seats are divided by the center console, there is a significant amount of space for both. However, then comes the 2nd row, which may be no less than any horrible experience for some people. Headroom is good, and almost the same size is offered in other sedans, but when it comes to shoulder room, the C-Class and the A4 literally rock, with relatively bigger space, which makes them very comfortable to accommodate 3 adults. In fact, in terms of legroom too, there is not much space available in the 2024 Giulia, and the 2023 C-Class tops this section too, followed by the 2024 A4 and the 2024 3-Series. 

No exact information is available regarding the cargo area of Giulia, however, in our testing, we find it quite useful. The wheelbase is long too, but not sufficient which creates the space problem. Coming with a 79.7” width, the Giulia is kind of cramped, and that’s why we suggest taking only 4 people on board. Talking about the design, it carries a great appeal. Coming with the Miron Black V-Scudetto grille, mated to a range of gorgeous palettes, the Giulia not only looks pretty and sharp, but also due to the proper implementation of the design dynamics, and the golden ratio, the sedan looks symmetrical from most angles. The sharp LED headlights and taillights along with the alloy wheels blend perfectly together with the overall design. As mentioned above, the 2024 Giulia is quite long, however, the rivals are longer. The C-Class, although certified as the compact sedan from Mercedes, is around 5” longer than the Giulia, and so are the others. Both A4 and Giulia provide the shortest wheelbase, however, the A4 is 1.7” wider than Giulia, which makes it less cramped than the same. However, in terms of height, the Giulia is pretty good, and that is why you won’t find any headroom issues there. Among the quad, the A4 sits considerably higher than others over the ground. Both cars come with an array of safety features and modern infotainment options, appealing to tech-savvy drivers, and both are available with AWD configuration for more versatility. However, all these depend on your requirements. If you find the 2024 Audi A4 good enough for your needs, get that. Otherwise, the 2024 Giulia too is a great choice.
