With Honda’s HR-V and CR-V selling like hotcakes, Honda commences 2024 with a 10.3% jump in sales
Honda’s Sales For January 2024 Are Up By 10.3%

The American Honda is looking for a great year ahead as the sales increased by 10.3% YoY. This includes 84,000 vehicles by the Honda brand and 8,636 units by the Acura brand. However, while the Honda brand saw a massive jump in sales, the Acura had a poor sales run with a decrease of -9.0%.

To begin with, the Honda sold 75,026 units in January 2023 which includes 28,050 cars and 46,976 trucks. For January 2024 though, Honda saw an increase of 1.5% in sales for cars and a massive 19.4% for trucks. Honda’s HR-V, CR-V, and Civic were the star performers, with their sales up 43.2%, 26.3%, and 18.6% respectively. The Accord on the other hand saw a massive decline in sales, selling only 12,025 units as compared to last year’s 14,737 units.

The Acura division on the other hand does not share the same success as the Honda brand. Acura saw a decline of -12.6% in sales, selling only 8,636 units in 2024 as compared to 9,488 units in the year 2023. While the Acura RDX did see a massive increase of 44.3%, it is the only model to have witnessed any growth in sales as the rest of its models failed to catch up to the previous year's sales records. Moreover, both the Acura ILX and NSX went unsold when Acura previously did manage to sell 1 and 3 units of it respectively.
